Misunderstandings about making Annoyloids

I just realized that on our FAQ it says that all Annoyloids are supposed to be squeaky weaboos. This is completely false and actually the opposite of what an Annoyloid is supposed to be.

When you make your own Annoyloid it’s not supposed to be just like Kagami Kawaiine. Kagami has weaboos, Mary-sues and pitchloids covered. That’s why she says desu all the time. That’s why she has a ridiculous back story. That’s why her voice sounds like a chipmunk.

Each one is supposed to be what annoys YOU.

They don’t have to be poorly recolored
They don’t have to have terrible designs
They don’t have to act like weaboos
They don’t have to TYP3 LYK DIS

You can make one that has a really nice design and talks like a normal person!

For example, say people who constantly wants attention annoy you: Make an Annoyloid that obnoxiously asks for attention.
Maybe morning people annoy you: Make an Annoyloid that never shuts up about how awesome the morning is and is always Susie Sunshine.

Not the best examples, but you get the point. An Annoyloid is whatever annoys you!

Yes, I know not all of the fandom are weeaboos but a large amount are, and it is really starting to irritate me. Also can you not just listen without having to have annoying, excessive, unrelated Roleplays in the description, and for gods sake Len is not a Shota. Also WHY is there like 897853869736987354789 Amount of KAITO Recolours, and TETO IS NOT A VOCALOID

Okay, so first, let me explain the origins of the cat crapping rainbows. There was a song found on Nico Nico Douga called "NyaNyaNyaNyaNyaNyaNya!" done by a VOCALOID/UTAU user known as daniwell-P. (For those of you who aren't familiar with NND, it's basically the Japanese equivalent of YouTube, except you need an account to watch the videos.) It was then reprinted onto YouTube. Hi there everyone, Negau here again. I'm going to rant on pitchloids today.

(I feel like I shouldn't be ranting around the holidays, but…)

Before I continue, I'd like to make clear that I'm not talking about people who raise the gender factor of a Vocaloid to make their OC's voice. Those people are actually really creative to even think to do that, and are smart enough to actually use Vocaloid instead of Audacity.

Okay, anyway. So someone takes a Vocaloid song and then raises or lowers the pitch in Audacity and call that their Vocaloid/UTAUloid OC's voice. What they did, in reality, is recolor a voice, in a sensePitchloid Rant by *Negau-chan

The Problem with Self Inserts The Problem with Self Inserts

There is nothing wrong with inserting yourself into a story. Like anything, it can be well done or... not so well done. The fact is, the majority of people who tend to write about self inserts happen to be beginners. Naturally, that causes there to be a pattern of certain, specific mistakes that are frequently found whilst reading anything on the internet. The purpose of this deviation isn't to say that self inserts are bad. I'm simply going to point out the most common mistakes that we usually encounter.

1. Making ourselves better than we really are.

Don't be fooled by the word "better." This can be replaced The Problem with Self Inserts by ~MakingFunOfStuff

So, I realize that everyone has heard of Mary Sue characters, but the thing that bothers me is that Mary has never really been as clarified as she could be. Girls go around crying Mary Sue at every character with long pink hair, then go and create even worse Mary Sue characters in the false illusion that they're making nonMary Sue characters (or even anti-Sues) when in fact they're doing the opposite. Allow me to explain how this seems to happen.

The Contributors in this group will happily give critiques and advice to aspiring UTAU and Vocaloid users in order for them to create their own original voices and designs.

It's basically just a group that's meant to

1- explain the difference between official Vocaloids, UTAUs, fanloids, etc.

and

2- explain why pitchloids are a bad idea

And sometimes poke fun at the general silly things the Vocaloid/UTAU fandom does.

Nope, she's actually edited from Gakupo using the gender-editor portion of the Vocaloid software, not through pitching.
